IBM InfoPrint Color 100
Not-New
For the most part structurally identical with Xeikon DCP 50D but with an IBM RIP.
Digital printing machine up to the format of 47,5 x 110cm Duplex with 8 color printing units.
The machine will be delivered with a Barco PrintStreamer. The PrintStreamer ia a spooler, which allows the sequential print of compiled products. Furthermore is it possible to connect elements of text- and image databases into the colored pages. This gives the oppurtunity to print a variety of information.
Under 450.000 prints
Technical data of the InfoPrint Color 100
Up to 105 full-color impressions per minute (ideal for duplex printing)
Dual 400 MHz Intel® Pentium® II processors increase RIP speed
Extensive variable data capabilities
Enhanced cross-web registration and paper conditioning for optimal print quality
Large 18.7" image area on a 20" paper width
Automated registration and density control for greater ease-of-use
Collator extends variable data capabilities by allowing 100% of each page to be customized

The IBM Infoprint Color 100 is ideal for the demands of the rapidly expanding digital color printing market. A standard 64GB Collator provides a high-speed variable data solution. A wider format opens the door to new untapped digital printing markets for applications such as posters, banners multi-page booklet signatures.
Wider, faster, smarter
The IBM Infoprint Color 100 prints up to 105 full-color impressions per minute (up to 6,300 letter-size images per hour). The ability to produce high-quality, 4-up duplex signatures, on-demand, makes this printer cost-effective for traditional offset applications and high-value business documents. Automated management software controls output quality with minimal operator intervention. An automated

Barco Graphics ships 1000th PrintStreamer for digital printing engines
From: http://www.barco.com/corporate/en/pressreleases/show.asp?index=167
Four years ago, we shipped our 100th PrintStreamer; today, we are shipping the 1000th.
During all these years, Barco has clearly maintained its position as one of the forerunners of personalized digital printing.
"The PrintStreamer is considered to be a must for anybody who wants to achieve efficient production on a Digital Color Press", says Christian Verbrugghe, Manager Digital Printing, "we conceived PrintStreamer 2 as a modular, open concept to support different press architectures on the back-end and different RIPs and applications on the front-end. This unique and scalable "press server" concept has become the de facto standard for most of the major digital color presses."
"With a third generation of the PrintStreamer coming , we are confident to stay in the driver's seat", he continues.
The 1000th PrintStreamer is sold to Xeikon, but "it is clear that we would never have achieved this success without the support of all our customers and OEM partners, such as Xeikon, IBM and Xerox", adds Jef Bogaerts, OEM Manager Digital Printing.
PrintStreamer
The PrintStreamer is a giant buffer between Barco Graphics' FastRip/X and the digital press, enabling electronic collation, page picking and unlimited variable data printing. This unique device allows operators to drive the productivity of the digital press to the maximum and really exploit the features of digital printing.
