Dell PowerVault 136 t with 2 x LTO 1 to disk drives and management card
Non-new
Dell tape library PowerVault 136T automates the call, the storage and the control of tape cassettes. It was conceived for the application in normal office surroundings and was developed thus that it can be used on a desk. However, it also easily builds in in a rack.
The library contains 2 disk drives LTO-1. A mail box is on the front to the insertion and removing tapes. Moreover, you can steer above the operating field on the front of the library the library completely and configure.
Equipment:
2x LTO 1 disk drives (on six disk drives extendable)
Mail box slot:
The mail box allows importing and exporting of tape cassettes without interruption of the normal library company. However, it can be also configured as additional memory slots. The mail box disposes of a capacity of a tape cassette.
Robotics system and cash code scanner:
The robotics system identifies the cassettes and moves them between the memory slots, tape disk drives and the mail box. The robotics arm disposes of peck-finger with which he can take the media cassettes and bring them along the X-, Z-Y and movement co-ordinates in position.
Every tape cassette contains a bar code from the cash code scanner during the compilation of an inventory process is read. Moreover, the cash code scanner is used during the "Teach" procedure and he reads the relation etiquettes to identify the types of the memory and tape disk drives installed in the library.
Every tape cassette must dispose of a bar code which is machine as well as is readable from the operator. This bar code marks the standard number of the Volumes (volser). The library stores the physical place of the tape cassette based on the media number in an inventory data bank. All library or Hostanfragen refer to the position of the tape cassettes on the base of this cash code number.
