• X-RiteColor Master
• ColorShop
• ColorMail Express
Popular PANTONE Color in a Convenient Digital Format
X-Rite introduces a complete digital library of PANTONE ink colors on C —for exclusive use with select X-Rite quality assurance and formulation solutions. Each PANTONE color is pre-measured and ready to view, making it faster and easier than ever to assess a color match with your X-Rite system of choice. Digital PANTONE libraries are available for X Rite auto-tracking (AT) systems, X-RiteColor® Master, ColorShop and the new ColorMail® Express (for use with the 528 or 530 spectrodensitometer).
Accuracy Like You’ve Never Seen It
This is the ultimate PANTONE reference, ensuring accurate results with your X-Rite QA or formulation solution. Using X-Rite technology, developers measured each color from master color guides at PANTONE laboratories. The resulting spectral and formulation data is absolutely accurate every time—and not subject to the wear-and-tear typical of a paper reference.
The Latest Colors—for All Substrates
Each CD contains three complete PANTONE ink color libraries—one each for coated, uncoated and matte substrates. And each library has all the latest colors from PANTONE, so you’ll have every color option, right at your fingertips.
Save Time
No matter who you are—packaging producer, printer, ink supplier or print specifier—you’re bound to save time using the new PANTONE Digital Color Libraries. For example, users of X-RiteColor Master QA software or AT systems can use the spectral data in a PANTONE library to evaluate the accuracy of a color match, in a snap. And users of X-RiteColor Master ink formulation software can select a color as a standard to speed matches on any substrate.
Widest Array of Colors
The digital libraries contain spectral data and color names for each of the 1,114 solid colors listed in the First Edition 2000-2001 PANTONE Color Formula Guides. The ColorMail Express version also includes lithographic ink mixing formulas, based on the percentages published in the PANTONE guide. This expanded array of colors (for all substrates) will benefit anyone who works with PANTONE inks—from designers to press operators.
No Training Required
It’s easy to use the PANTONE Digital Color Libraries from X-Rite. No
special training is needed—you only need to know how to operate one of the four supporting solutions:
• X-RiteColor Master
• AT systems
• ColorMail Express (500-Series)
• ColorShop
X-RiteColor Master Users
With the digital PANTONE libraries, you can select a color by name or by measurement for use as a standard; quickly find a match for a color printed on any substrate; and reuse a waste sample by making it into a similar PANTONE color.
AT System Users
With the digital PANTONE libraries, you can quickly modify an inkwell with one of the PANTONE colors. You can also compare a handheld measurement with a color selected from the library—an ideal way to compare make-ready color or drawdowns to the PANTONE color.
500-Series Users
Designed to transfer color data to X-Rite 528 and 530 instruments, ColorMail Express is the software utility that lets you download PANTONE digital data to your portable spectrodensitometer. Once the download is complete, you can use the instrument’s “color compare” feature to compare ink on press to the PANTONE color. You can also
find a quick PANTONE match (name and formula) for any printed color.
ColorShop Users
With the digital PANTONE libraries, you can quickly find the closest PANTONE color to any real-world color. This new software tool simplifies both designing and specifying.
System Requirements
10MB minimum disk space and CD-ROM drive, or an internet connection for downloading.
Supporting X-Rite solutions:
X-RiteColor Master
AT systems
ColorMail Express (500-Series)
ColorShop
Includes
Software CD-ROM with libraries and electronic documentation.
